Enjoy delectable tastings and learn from expert chefs and artisanal food vendors along with new trends in kitchen makeovers, designs and innovative and sustainable materials and energy-efficient appliances by attending the fourth Heart of the Home Kitchen Tour. Presented by The Symphony Guild of Charlotte, the event will be held on March 14, 16 and 17, encompassing six homes in Eastover, Myers Park and SouthPark.

The kickoff party and silent auction will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on March 14, followed by a cocktail tour during the same time period on March 16 and culminate with a kitchen tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 17.

The participating homes are at 302 Colville Road, 826 Hempstead Place, 819 Bromley Road, 2047 Norton, 2108 Sherwood and 2410 Rock Creek.

In 2016, 600-plus people visited kitchens as part of the tour. Leslie and Bruce Schlernitzauer, of Porcupine Provisions, are honorary chairs of this year’s event that will include the Friday evening cocktail tour for the first time.
