Habitat Steward Training Program
Habitat and Wildlife Keepers (HAWK), a local subchapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation, will hold "Matthews Naturally Habitat Steward Training Program" March 18-20.
Training will include gardening with native plants, composting, water conservation, soil science, feeding wildlife and more. This intensive, hands-on training will certify participants as a Habitat Steward and provide the skills and knowledge to work with individuals, schools, businesses and places of worship to create wildlife habitats in Matthews.
The course will be held from 8am-5pm on Mar 18-20 at the Matthews Community Center, 100 McDowell St. Cost is $50. Info: www.habitatsteward.org.
