Pelvic Health Awareness and Fundraiser at Total Being Yoga
Support breast cancer survivors while learning about the importance of and how to maintain pelvic floor health from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on August 4 at Total Being Yoga in Mint Hill, North Carolina. Adrienne Whelan and special guest Ariana Legatie will educate women in the community on this highly common yet rarely discussed topic, and donations will be encouraged for the Inked Phoenix Project that helps breast cancer survivors transform their scars into art.
As we age, many of us experience incontinence issues. We sneeze, cough, exercise and there’s the embarrassing leak. The key is prevention so women need to be protective of these important muscles. Whelan will advise yoga poses for strengthening and prevention, and also discuss how nutrition and digestion can play a role in protecting these very important muscles. Legatie will discuss what can be done to restore and repair any pelvic floor issues as well as when further treatment should be considered. The open and honest discussion will also include light refreshments.
Location: 7427 Matthews Mint Hill Rd., Ste. 206 (next to UPS store). For more information, call 980-239-0366, email [email protected] visit TotalBeingYoga.com.
