Elemental Healing Charlotte Hosts REFRESH 2020 Wellness Expo
Jan 27, 2020 04:28PM ● By Shannon Mc KenzieElemental Healing Charlotte (EHC) is the city's largest wellness collaborative, with more than 65
independently owned holistic and mental health businesses, as well as a busy event venue that is host to many classes, workshops and trainings. Today, the practitioners and therapists at EHC services include massage therapy, nutritional counseling, naturopathy, chiropractic, reflexology, yoga, qigong, tai chi, far infrared/full-spectrum salt/sauna therapy, aesthetics, reiki/energy healing, sound therapy, hypnosis, spiritual counseling/guidance, creative arts, mental/emotional therapy, and more.
Owner Margaret Wyche, MA, LPC, LCAS, CCS, says, "Our unique model allows the wellness seeker to benefit from a wide variety of practitioners and therapists that when brought together, can do more!" After reading the book, The Heroine's Journey in 1999, Wyche immediately began to write about what she envisioned for EHC. But it would not be until 2009 that her vision began to take shape as a place where therapists could work, as well as host and attend classes and workshops along with the community. She believes that Elemental Healing Charlotte was divinely guided to become what it is today—a warm, compassionate environment of holistic practitioners that provide healing on every level for every body, mind and spirit.
On February 29, Elemental Healing Charlotte will host the annual REFRESH 2020 Wellness Expo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year, the focus will be on creating a healthy heart, learning how to prevent heart disease and restoring health to those that may already be living with this common disease that affects so many of us. "This is the day to discover something new, or learn healing modalities that you may have always wanted to better understand by meeting a variety of wellness practitioners, attending our educational workshop sessions, experiencing a new movement class, receiving an energy healing or a psychic/spiritual reading in our popular reader's room, or enjoying a healthy taste of what's on the menu for our famous cooking demo," states Wyche.
Special guest Cardiac Electrophysiologist Rohit Mehta, M.D., FHRS, and plant-based chef Tessa Decker, RN, will educate attendees and make a delicious, heart-healthy dish, plus share the recipe. A Q&A session will follow.
Elemental Healing Charlotte is unlike any other wellness center in the area. In addition to the services of their tenants, they also feature four unique event spaces, including two large community/movement rooms, a creative arts studio and a cozy library/conference space. The location is also special because it provides a tranquil connection to the environment with courtyard gardens and benches to enjoy Zen-like ponds with koi fish, a rock garden and soft spa music throughout this space. In the near future, EHC will also become connected to the expansion of a greenway that is adjacent to the property. Wyche says, "We seem to attract practitioners and therapists not only with skill, but also with heart. They have found their calling and they are dedicated to helping others."
Admission to the Expo is $10 and registration is available at ElementalHealingCharlotte.com. Elemental Healing Charlotte is located at 5200 Park Rd., Ste. 200-C, in Charlotte. For more information, email [email protected].
