Sustain Charlotte to Hold 10th Annual Biketoberfest
Sustain Charlotte will hold its 10th annual Biketoberfest, a fundraiser that helps the organization continue its advocacy work to make Charlotte a more vibrant, healthy and equitable city, on October 27. Biketoberfest is a fun, scavenger-hunt-style event for all ages and abilities and a great way to explore and discover new places around central Charlotte without a car.
Participants choose a route and bike, walk, jog or ride transit to local businesses, parks and greenways, collecting stamps for their Biketoberfest passports along the way. Stamps are then traded in for raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes during the after-party. The event is also a way to support the local businesses that sponsor the event.
The event starts and ends at Triple C Brewing in South End, with check-in starting at 11:30 a.m. and traversing the routes in the city from noon to 4:30 p.m. The two-hour after-party directly follows with a special Biketoberfest beer and live music, and the raffle drawing at 5:15 p.m.
Cost: Tickets are $45 until Oct. 25 and $50 on Oct. 26 & 27. Triple C Brewing Co. location: 2900 Griffith St. For more information or to register, visit Biketoberfestclt.org.
