Spirit and Sound owner Barbara Griggs is a spiritualist minister, licensed spiritual healer and certified vibrational sound master teacher with Soma Energetics. She says, “In my 25 years as a practitioner, I have learned how vibration and sound contribute to healing - and current scientific studies are proving the benefits.”

The business was founded in 2022 and offers chakra/spiritual balancing techniques using tuning forks (vibration and sound) that identify blockages in the body. According to Griggs, “Vibration and sound techniques work above the body, and there is no physical contact. All instruments are demonstrated to the client, and all questions are answered. Relaxation, stress reduction and balance are the most important results of this method.”

She explains, “As a licensed spiritual healer, I found there are a number of people that don’t want to be touched. I liked a therapy that respected the client’s personal space - vibration and sound work in the etheric body, not on the physical body.

Griggs enjoys the satisfaction expressed and physical improvements experienced by her clients.  “Amazing!” is usually the first comment she hears. The effects of Energy Vitality Technique (EVT) can last from three to 10 days; dreams may contain messages, and people usually sleep well after the technique. Clients are asked to be gentle with themselves as the clearing and balancing occur in their mind and body. Additional techniques are discussed, informing the client about other excellent ways to bring body, mind and spirit into balance.

She also likes that the client participates in their own healing, noting, “EVT is the initial technique to clear the chakras (centers where we receive and distribute our life energies), bring them to balance and reconnect the chakras for improved energy flow throughout the body. Keeping our chakras open and balanced is important for our well-being. Once a blockage is identified, the client and I work together to clear the blockage and bring the body into balance.  Looking at and understanding things from a place of balance enables us to live our best lives.”
