Martin Marietta will host the Inaugural Earth Day 5K Boulder Dash on April 25, 2020. The race will take place at Martin Marietta’s Arrowood Quarry located at 11325 Texland Blvd., Charlotte NC 28273. Participants will receive a race T-shirt and tote bag. Event medals will be provided to the first 100 finishers. Trophies for various age brackets will also be awarded.

Martin Marietta is committed to protecting the Earth’s resources and reducing our environmental impact. Martin Marietta is also committed to being a responsible neighbor and supporting the communities that are home to our operations. This event brings both of those objectives together. The 5K is designed to showcase the quarry operation and plant equipment, while also testing your endurance to run in and out of the pit with a 300-foot elevation difference. If you are up to this challenge, come join us as we celebrate Earth Day and rock the quarry!

The Park Community Development Corporation seeks to advocate for and create upward mobility for at-promise youth, young adults and families by making pathways to livable income through workforce development, healthily living and affordable housing. All proceeds from the event will be used to support The Park Community Development Corporation.
