Unity Spiritual Center Relocates, Expands Programming
A Course in Miracles study group, a continuation of a program that formed last year, meets Mondays at 7 p.m. A new Meditation and Metaphysical Studies group meets each Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday meditations, appropriate for beginners or experienced meditators, begin at 6:30 p.m. A metaphysically themed program follows from 7 to 8 p.m. Topics for September include introductions to Unity and Unity Metaphysics, an introduction to kirtan and sacred chant, and a special meditation event on September 12.
Unity Spiritual Center also offers monthly special events on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The first event will be a family movie night at 7 p.m. on September 16. On September 24, Rev Jim will present an afternoon workshop on the Enneagram, an ancient tool for looking into our interactions with ourselves and others.
PRB describes itself as a progressive Baptist church emphasizing independent thought, community service, social justice and interfaith understanding. Revs Jim and Kay Fuller express great appreciation for Revs Russ and Amy Jacks Dean and the leadership at Park Road Baptist for welcoming them as they build and grow the Unity Spiritual Center.
Mon. and Tues. groups – free and open to everyone; monthly Sat. & Sun. special events – costs vary but most request love offering. For more information, visit CharlotteSpiritualCenter.org.
