Understanding Hormone Problems
Take this simple quiz to gauge:
- Do you have a hard time getting out of bed and starting your day?
- Does your energy crash in the late afternoon?
- Do you have a short temper and snap at your family?
- Have you lost interest in sex?
- Do you have a hard time sleeping through the night?
- Are you struggling with your weight or belly fat?
- Are you forgetting things, for example, why you walked in the room or what word you wanted to say?
- Do you feel anxious for no good reason?
- Are you having more PMS symptoms, such as bloating and irritability?
- Are your cycles changing or becoming less predictable?
The good news is there are actions one can take to get hormones in balance such as, get more exercise and adequate sleep; eat more broccoli which contains hormone-friendly nutrients; cut out sugar, as the inflammation sugar causes leads to hormone imbalances; and reduce stress.
