The surface of the mat consists of several pounds of seven separate natural gemstones— amethyst, sodalite, blue lace agate, green aventurine, yellow aventurine, carnelian and red jasper—that become a heated surface to lie on that relieves discomfort and tension in muscles, joints and tissue. The heat elevates local blood circulation and relaxes in a way that helps free the mind of worries.
