An integrative veterinary hospital for small and exotic animals, Whole Pet Veterinary Hospital employs 14 veterinarians and 75 support staff at four offices. The first location, in Davidson, was founded in 2013, and the other three opened between 2020 and 2023 to serve a larger area.

They are known for integrating holistic medicine and alternatives into daily practices, including careful vaccine and prevention strategies, whole food nutrition for pets, acupuncture, chiropractic, physical therapy, ozone, laser, herbal medicine and homeopathy. They also participate in the Cat Friendly Practice program created by the American Association of Feline Practitioners designed to elevate care for cats by reducing stress for the cat, caregiver and the entire veterinary team. “There are a set of unique cat-comforting protocols we use, such as Feliway, a product that emulates the natural pheromones released by a mother cat to calm her kittens, in rooms and carriers, a designated cat room versus waiting in the lobby, and our veterinarians go slow to make the cat feel comfortable.”
